Well, the results are in and I'm pleased to report that the popular vote-getters correspond to the ideas I'm most excited to work with. So: Top priority right now is working on Chapter 3 of the Haunted House Adventure. It should be large (though hopefully a bit shorter than Chapter 2) and will have a lot of variety to it. I've been chatting with some collaborators and working out some ideas, and I've got the whole thing big-picture planned and about half of it fine-detail planned.
That said: It's an undertaking. There's a lot of work that's going into this so it won't be up for a bit. I'm setting a goal for myself to have a new version of the Haunted House posted with Chapters 1-3 by Halloween, which hopefully will give me enough time to get everything done to my satisfaction. I feel like Halloween is a deadline that isn't so far in the distance that I'll blow it off, but isn't so close that I'm going to wind up either breaking it or burning out from stress.
Meanwhile, I'm also well aware that the two Femme Defenders ideas combined received more votes than the Haunted House. That's just as well, because when I put up the poll my strongest urge was to write a Femme Defenders story. My plan is to focus on the Haunted House, but switch to Femme Defenders occasionally to keep myself refreshed. The FD story will be a hybrid of the two proposed ideas: A big-picture story about the whole team that's broken up into smaller, self-contained stories that each focus on a pair of the Defenders.
So: Still no writing now, but I do have a plan and intend to begin writing in earnest tomorrow!
IMPORTANT FINAL NOTE: If, at any point, I promised you something in the Haunted House Adventure (a room, a plot element, a particular bad ending) please, please, please get in touch with me as soon as you can. The earlier in the planning phase you remind me, the more easy it'll be to implement seamlessly.
And if you have any ideas for it or are interested in collaborating on it, please send me a note. I won't guarantee that I'll use every (or any) suggestions, but I'm always happy to listen and include ideas that excite me.

The new DA is better
The new DA interface is better than the old DA interface, don't @ me. I'm actually serious. I was worried about the transition, and Eclipse absolutely sucked and lacked features, but the new interface is like a hybrid of Old DA and Eclipse and actually improves, somewhat, on Old DA. It adds some handy management and customization features while retaining features Eclipse was missing. Also... Not for nothing, but the Old DA was getting pretty long in the tooth. It absolutely functioned well with the features it had, and that's super important. But I think a lot of us got used to the Old Way and grew accustomed to overlooking a significant amount of jank. And I mean... It looked and felt like a website from ten or fifteen years ago. New DA looks and feels modern, while retaining important features of Old DA and jettisoning aspects of the Eclipse design that sucked. I do wish it were a bit more data-efficient; old DA was quick and snappy about loading (when it didn't crash... Which

Away From Keyboard
Hello all,
Just a quick note to say it's my birthday and to thank you for all your birthday wishes. It's ALSO to say that, in addition to my birthday, I also got married three days ago! We are leaving on our honeymoon TODAY (and my lovely wife will be treating me to a steak dinner once we arrive this evening, to celebrate both my birthday and the start of our honeymoon), but before we left I was taking care of things online and realized I would be without Internet for about two weeks and unable to return Birthday wishes, so I felt I should do a post explaining the situation.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their patience with the story I just posted, Green Around the Gills. It's built around an incredibly idiosyncratic kink of mine. In fact, I THINK, after years of searching, I may be the only person with this (highly specific) particular variety of TF interest.
